From Dialogue to Action: Advancing Just Transition Strategies in Indonesia’s Coal Regions

ILO, IE University, and the iGDP Observatory on Just Transition convened a three-day workshop in Balikpapan, Indonesia, to pilot the Practical Guide for Just Transition Strategies in Coal Regions. Bringing together representatives from government, workers, employers, academia, civil society, and implementing partners, the workshop used a hands-on, simulation-based methodology to test how just transition strategies can be designed and implemented in coal-dependent regions.
