In July, the IE-iGDP Just Transition Observatory participated in the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FFD4) in Seville, co-hosting the side event “Aligning Agendas: Creating Fiscal and Financial Pathways for Sustainable Development and Climate Action.” The gathering brought together leading voices from the Global South to explore opportunities to reshape global financing toward equitable, climate-aligned development.

The IE–iGDP Just Transition Observatory (JTO) hosted a two-day workshop in Madrid to strengthen international collaboration between China and Spain on Just Transition experiences. Representatives of the Chinese delegation, accompanied by members of the IE–iGDP Just Transition Observatory (JTO), conducted a field visit to Ponferrada, León to explore concrete examples of Just Transition implementation in Spain

IE University and IE Foundation have signed an agreement with the Institute for Global Decarbonization Progress (iGDP), an international non-profit think tank focusing on green and low-carbon development, to launch the IE-iGDP Just Transition Observatory.
